Welcome to UMAMITOURS. By booking or participating in our walking tours, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Tour Overview & Inclusions

Walking tours:

Our tours are conducted on foot and involve walking through public areas, historic sites, and urban environments in Japan.

Public transportation:

Tours may utilize local public transit (e.g., trains, buses, subways). Transportation fares are not included in the tour price unless explicitly stated. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own transit tickets or IC cards (such as Suica, Pasmo, Icoca, etc.).

2. Booking, Payment & Cancellation

Reservations & payment:

Full payment is required prior to the tour to secure your reservation.

Customer cancellations:

• Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour start time will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

Weather & Company Cancellations:

Tours operate rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather warnings, typhoons, or transit system shutdowns, we reserve the right to cancel. If we cancel, you will receive a full refund or an offer to reschedule.

3. Participant Health, Safety & Conduct

Physical Fitness:

Participants are expected to be in reasonable physical health suitable for extended walking and climbing stairs at transit stations or historical sites.

Punctuality:

Tours start promptly. Late arrivals may result in missing the tour group without entitlement to a refund or free reschedule.

Personal Belongings:

You are solely responsible for your personal items, luggage, and valuables during the tour.

Behavior:

We reserve the right to decline service or remove any participant whose behavior endangers themselves, others, or disrupts the tour experience.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Japanese law:

• UMAMITOURS and its tour guides are not liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, delay, or damage to personal property occurring during the tour or while utilizing public transportation.
• Participants travel at their own risk and are strongly encouraged to carry personal travel insurance covering health and accidents while in Japan.

5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any legal disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over Osaka, Japan.
